Co-Curricular
Learning is so much more than getting good exam grades and it happens everywhere at Dollar, extending well beyond the bounds of the classroom.
Research shows that when children get involved, they show greater development, cognitively, academically, emotionally, socially and physically. With around 120 diverse clubs and activities, there’s something for everyone at Dollar. Explore our Co-curricular Wall and the details below to discover more. We can’t wait to see you get involved!
Full details of activities and times are available via the SOCS Co-Curricular platform which is updated at the start of each term. Senior School pupils have login details to the SOCS Co-Curricular platform and can sign up for activities themselves. In addition, they will also be able to see the activities on offer at the ‘Activities Fair’ which is held in the first few weeks of the First Term.
Sport at Dollar
Nurturing Potential, Driving Performance, Shaping Character for Life.
Sport is a vital part of life at Dollar Academy, shaping the mind, body, and character of every pupil. Our programme places equal emphasis on participation and performance, ensuring that all pupils, regardless of ability, can engage, improve, and enjoy physical activity.
We offer a wide variety of sports, from traditional team games to individual pursuits, giving every pupil the opportunity to find something they love and can excel in. For those aspiring to compete at the highest level, expert coaching and outstanding facilities provide pathways to represent the school, region, and even country. At the same time, we foster a welcoming environment for those who play for enjoyment, health, and camaraderie.
Sport at Dollar Academy goes beyond physical achievement. It nurtures core values that mirror our whole-school ethos, including teamwork, resilience, respect, integrity, and leadership. Pupils carry these lessons from the pitch into all areas of school life.
Whether on the field, in the pool, or on the court, sport at Dollar is about belonging, striving for excellence, and developing the confidence and character to thrive – both in sport and in life.
