Yoga

Yoga is open to all, and many people enjoy it for different reasons.

Yoga can help to ease aching muscles from training and rehabilitate from injury. Crucially, it also can help to slow down our busy brains and it gives us a chance to relax, enjoy the moment, and allow some tension to leave our minds and bodies.

Yoga has been running in its current form for four years and attracts a varied group, with class sizes ranging from five to twenty-five students.

Overview

With no competition or fixtures, yoga is a chance to focus on personal wellbeing in a relaxed and supportive environment.

Whether new to the practice or more experienced, all students are welcome to take part. Yoga provides an opportunity to relax and focus on the present moment.

Sessions

Sessions take place in the Captain’s Room, where students are guided through a series of movements and breathing exercises designed to promote flexibility, balance, and mindfulness.

There is no set uniform—pupils can wear PE kit or anything they feel comfortable in—and mats are provided. Each session is led by Mrs Munro, who provides guidance throughout.
