Together, our coaches help deliver one of the most forward-thinking and progressive programmes of its kind in Scotland – committed to developing the complete player. It’s this player-centred approach that allows the budding internationalist to thrive and even the most casual recreational player to shine on the pitch. All this good practice is further underlined by our onsite physiotherapist and strength and conditioning coach. Our campus holds no fewer than eight pitches to accommodate our 14 teams.
Suitable candidates will possess proven expertise within rugby, whether that be through playing to a high level, coaching or through formal qualifications. Ideally, successful coaches can referee and have experience of working with children, although this is not essential.
Applicants should be willing to coach a designated team through the season, which will involve after school coaching and Saturday morning fixtures.
Rugby Coaches are line managed by the Director of Rugby, who will agree working hours, and which teams are to be coached. The successful applicant will be self-employed and will submit regular invoices to the Academy. We expect our rugby coaches to run a minimum of two sessions per week and contribute to the Saturday Rugby Programme.
