Clères trip

The Modern Languages department was delighted to resume its programme of foreign trips at the end of last term.

A group of our FI and FII pupils studying French spent a week on a homestay programme in Normandy, living with French families and visiting a range of locations in the north of France, including Paris, Bayeux, the D Day landing beaches, Rouen and Disneyland. Pupils gained confidence in their ability to communicate in French and increased their knowledge of the culture and the history of France. Our 18th visit to Clères was hugely enjoyed by all, and the host families were very complimentary about the Dollar pupils. Our young people were wonderful ambassadors, both for the school and for Scotland, and the staff enjoyed spending time in their company in France.
