How Preloved at Dollar Operates

PRELOVED AT DOLLAR is staffed and operated by a group of parent volunteers. We always welcome new volunteers – pop in and chat to us on one of our open days or contact us via prelovedatdollar@gmail.com for more information.

Pre-owned items are accepted for sale by the shop provided they are current, clean and in good conditionAll blazers must be dry cleaned. We reserve the right to recycle items deemed unfit for sale.  The price allocated to an item is dependent upon the condition and is determined by our volunteers. The amount received for an item of value £10 or more is split between the seller (80%) and the shop (20%). Items of value under £10 are considered donations to the shop.

Items are held for a maximum of two years.  After this time, unsold items are withdrawn and recycled with proceeds going to various charities.

You can set up an account by emailing us at prelovedatdollar@gmail.com. You will then be allocated an account number, please make sure you provide your bank details as payment is made by bank transfer only.

You must then attach your name and account number to any items you wish to sell and either hand them into the shop on open days or deposit them in the drop box, located in the main school library all year round.

If an item on your account sells for £10 or more then, 80% of this money will be transferred directly to your bank account. We aim to transfer money on a timely basis normally within 1 month of the sale. During school holidays this may take longer as we need to wait for the next shop open day in case of returns.

All items are sold as seen, but buyers may return an item at the next shop open day if they are unsuitable. We cannot accept returns after this, as the seller will already have been paid for the item. We can however resell it for you.

Payment for purchases can be made by credit/debit card or Apple Pay.
