At the end of last session, a group of eight Form VI pupils undertook the Climate Solutions Course developed by the Royal Scottish Geographical Society (RSGS). Due to COVID, the pupils were all working independently and virtually, and with support from the Geography Department, they completed all four modules.
This involved between 8-10 hours of independent study, completed over four weeks with very much a solution-based focus. Developing a clear understanding of the reasons for action, the science, government policies and the development of solutions, all of the group finished much more aware and with a drive to go out into the world and make a difference. Certificates of completion are now making their way to each of these Former Pupils and we wish them well in putting what they have learned into practice at university and beyond.
