Whilst we may call the green open spaces of Dollar home, Scotland’s major cities and their airports are within easy reach. Dollar is only 20 minutes’ drive from Stirling, 30 minutes from Perth and under an hour from Edinburgh and Glasgow. The school is a 25 minute drive from the world-renowned Gleneagles resort and an hour from the famous beaches and golf courses of St Andrews.

A seaside town that is well-known around the world for both its university and its golf. Lined by two miles of unbroken beaches, it’s a great place to go for a daytrip to relax, do some watersports, or just have some fish and chips!

It is also the place to go if you are into contemporary art with one of Europe’s largest civic art collections, with much of it free to visit. If music and arts aren’t for you, Glasgow is also the best place for a shopping trip, being the biggest city, it has the largest range of shops in Scotland.

Scotland’s capital is one of Europe’s most beautiful cities, build on a series of hills and overlooking the sea. It is steeped in history and culture with national galleries and museums to keep you busy along with a multitude of arts festivals to keep you entertained. As well as the more cultured side to the city, there are also a top-class range of shops and restaurants to choose from if you are popping in at the weekend. It’s an easy place on the eye and easy to get around as most parts of the city can be explored by foot.
