Set amongst the tranquil landscape of central Scotland, Dollar’s history is nonetheless eventful, with the school having adapted well to periods of change and global challenges. As a school, we have always been at the forefront of Scottish education.

Sport is deeply rooted in life here at Dollar. Personally, socially and for physical and mental wellbeing – regular exercise and the spirit of competition has so much to offer. Our goal is to make sure each and every pupil has a chance to participate and reap the many benefits that physical activity offers.

Open to learners across Scotland and beyond, the International Sustainability Diploma will be piloted in a number of schools in the 2024/25 session ahead of a wider launch in 2025/26. Dollar Academy has been an integral part of the local area since its foundation in 1818. The school provides benefit to the wider community by sharing resources and knowledge with local schools and nurseries, and through our involvement in a number of community projects. A number of local and national organisations also use our facilities. The school has effective and constructive dialogue on a regular basis with both Dollar Community Council and Dollar Community Development Trust.

On Tuesday 23 March at 7.30pm, we are holding a Prep 1 Information Evening for all parents who are interested in finding out more about the early primary years.

Public examinations are regulated by the Scottish Qualifications Authority and these qualifications are highly valued by universities around the world. A broad range of subjects is studied until the age of 16, before specialisation in 3-5 subjects.
